Further good poll news for the Tories

OTTAWA (Reuters) - The Conservatives have increased their lead in public support over the ruling Liberals in the run-up to the January 23 election, a new poll said on Wednesday.

The daily tracking SES Research poll for the CPAC television network put backing for the Conservatives at 36 percent, up one point from a poll released by the same firm on Tuesday.

The Liberals were at 33 percent, down two points, while the left-leaning New Democrats were up a point at 15 percent.
