Canadian polls - Nov 28 to Dec 5

Time for a weekly look at the poll averages in Canada, using poll results from the week above, with the previous week's averages in brackets.

National poll averages (11 polls)

Liberals 35.2% (35.9%)
Conservatives 29.7% (30.1%)
NDP 16.9% (17.2%)

A slight decline in popularity for all three major parties. The Liberals still have a healthy lead nationally, though not enough to get a majority.

Ontario poll averages (7 polls)

Liberals 42.4% (44%)
Conservatives 33.6% (35.5%)
NDP 18.2% (16%) note: 5 poll results only

The Liberals still command Ontario. A disappointing lack of any impression by the Conservatives this week.

British Columbia poll averages (4 polls)

Liberals 33% (36.3%)
Conservatives 32.3% (28.7%)
NDP 29% (31.7%)

Heartening for the Conservatives. Both the rival parties have lost popularity and the Conservatives have picked it up.

Quebec poll averages (9 polls)

Liberals 26.7% (26.3%)
Conservatives 9.8% (10%) note: 4 poll results only
NDP 6.5% (10%) note: 4 poll results only
Bloc 55.3% (55.8%)

The Bloc continues to wipe the floor with everyone else.

All above poll averages compiled from Nodice.

Democratic Space current seat prediction (last election in brackets):

Liberals 112 (135)
Conservatives 103 (99)
NDP 29 (19)
Bloc 64 (54)
